Art Moments Contemporary Visual Arts Festival

10 Sep 2019 - 31 Oct 2019
Budapest, Hungary

The ART MOMENTS festival organizer Hybridart Management, has played an active role in the field of contemporary visual art since 2005. Their aim is to make domestic and foreign art and design accessible to a wider audience by expanding upon classical forms and frames of art. In the same spirit, the Art Moments festival “Design label for Great Wine”– gastro design contest and the Middle East Oriented Zenith Art Exchange international art exchange program are also organized year after year.

Hybridart Management launched the ART MOMENTS visual art program series in 2010. Occasionally it has involved the movement of hundreds of artworks through dozens of locations in the capital, the countryside (Debrecen, Pécs, Veszprém, Tokaj, Balatonfüred) and abroad (London, Paris, Berlin, Rome, Helsinki, Vienna, Bratislava).

A country’s contemporary visual art scene can tell a lot about its image. This is why, one of the most important goals of ART MOMENTS is to give contemporary artists space to reflect on today's issues and to extract art from its usual museum and gallery context; placing it out in the open, in public spaces and unorthodox exhibition spaces. This approach offers new and more distinct opportunities for interpretation and motivates visitors to formulate their own, relevant questions.

This year, between 10th September and 31st October 2019, Budapest is home to the ART MOMENTS Contemporary Visual Arts Festival for the 11th time. As in previous years, a diverse program will take place at several venues across the city. This wide variety of activities and events include: public interventions - a giant statue made from metal cans, public installations, plus art+science exhibitions, pop-ups and musical textiles just to name a few.
