The sixth edition of Dea Open Air International Film Festival will be held in Tirana, from 2th May to 8th May .

The Short Film Competition is divided in two subcategories. The International Competition presents the work of the most talented young filmmakers from Europe who experiment with the film language. The Student Competition promotes student films coming from European and regional film schools or academies. The competitions are followed by fife juries, three of which are international. Their members are well nown film personalities from the Europe and the Balkan region. The Juries accord fifteen Prizes and the festival founders accord DEA- Gratitude Award for the live time achievement.

To attract the audience, the festival offers three out-of-competition film programs: Friends of Cinema Program – with special screenings of first-class European and Albanian film achievements, Cross Border Program – with screenings of films focused on cross-border issues and discussions about it and Focus Program Children – dedicated to the youngest part of the audience and its film education.

With the focus program children consisting of European features, selected and adapted to this age, DEA tries to develop their affection towards the film. The films will be screened with comments of film lecturers coming from Sweden and Germany and in the presence of the students of the DEA Summer Film Academy.
