REFLECT:fest

26 Mar 2020 - 28 Mar 2020
Bethlehem,

REFLECT:fest is a music festival taking place from the 26th to the 29th of March 2020 in Bethlehem, Palestine. The festival will present western classical music in the form of early and contemporary music as well as traditional Arabic music, explore the relationship between the different genres and combine them in new and interesting ways. Musicians taking part in the festival are invited both from Palestine and the rest of the world, notably the baroque ensemble Europa Danzante from Germany and the Amwaj children’s choir from Bethlehem/Hebron. The festival will also collaborate with the Palestinian architect duo Anastas.

REFLECT:fest aims to support the growing musical scene in Palestine and to add to the development of a performance scene for western classical music and traditional Arabic music. The festival will be a diverse and high quality platform building links between Arabic and western classical music and exploring new performance practices in order to make the concerts more accessible and attract new audiences. By bringing people together from Palestine and abroad, it seeks to strengthen cultural links with the rest of the world through music.
