The show is going on – August 2020
In the midst of a very challenging time for the arts and culture industries, it is relieving to find out that, slowly, some festivals are finding ways to still take place in 2020.
Some had to adapt their formats and programmes, others were moved into online versions, and others still manage to happen as similarly to what was originally planned as possible – whilst evidently respecting and promoting the necessary precaution measures related to the pandemic. In either way, it is delightful to see cultural activities come together once again and to include them as part of our upcoming agendas.
We are therefore happy to share a selection of festivals taking place all throughout Europe during the month of August. The list comprises more than 50 festivals happening in 24 European countries, contemplating a variety of art disciplines, environments and audiences. You can find out more about them by clicking on their names or by searching for them on our FestivalFinder.eu.
Enjoy the show!

Spring has arrived!
Spring has finally arrived. Flowers are starting to blossom, birds are chirping sweet melodies and the sun is granting us warm temperatures after a cold winter.
With the arrival of spring, there are many festivals to look forward to, even if this year remains special for most of them. Some of them will present hybrid formats other will happen 100% live or online but all festivals will continue to be committed to the artists and the audiences.
Sofie & Carlo - Hesitation
In the middle of Europe, two long-suffering interns are helping a festival keep disaster almost away. This is their second season and surely it can't be as tough as their first! Want a bet?
International Women's Day
8 March is International Women’s Day, when we celebrate women’s achievements and also raise awareness about women’s equality globally. This year and alongside our presentation of festivals dedicated to woman and gender, we talked to Nadin Deventer, Artistic Director of Jazzfest Berlin.
